He has a specific interest in minimally invasive urology (endourology and laproscopic urology), female urology, urodynamics, incontinence and renal transplantation.

He did his MBBS and MS from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University where he stood first at the university level with 8 distinctions and acquired the Best Student Award. He later did his training in Urology and Renal Transplantation at SGPGIMS, Lucknow in 1995. He also visited the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York in 2000.

Dr.Sinha has the largest experience in the state in the surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence and has an extensive series on minimally invasive removal of complex renal stones. He has received the Bard Scholarship in Urology from the Urological Society of India in 1994 and the BKP best paper ward at the National Urological Conference in January 2005 for his work on Urodynamics in Stress Incontinence.

He is a National Council Member for the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation and South Zone Council Member for the Urological Society South Zone. He has 26 publications in national and international journals and has chapters in 5 textbooks.

He has conducted several workshops including an Operative Endoscopic Urology workshop in 2001, the National Transplant Games in 1999 and Workshop on Urodynamics and Incontinence in 2004.
